Civil Ceremonies at The Sandpiper Hotel As of January 14th 1998, the Sandpiper Hotel has been approved as premises for the solemnisation of marriages under section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marrige Act 1949. The granting of this licence to the Sandpiper Hotel enables Civil Weddings to be conducted in either of our suites - The Chesterfield or the Dronfield. Fresh flower arrangements, use of our garden area for photographs and the services of a wedding co-ordinator will be available. In the first instance, it is necessary to contact the Register Office at Chesterfield regarding availability. When the Registrar has been arranged (the hotel takes no responsibiltiy for booking the Registrar) you can then contact the hotel to book the ceremony and Reception. The fees for getting married are set by the local councils and will not be the same throughout the country. You can contact Chesterfield Registrar Office to arrange the marriage ceremony and discuss marriage fees on : 01246 271405 A room hire charge applies in addition to the Registrar fee.
